You just found out you have to take this test, possibly with 24–72 hours notice. This is normal. The candidates who pass aren't smarter. They're prepared. Here's how to become one of them.
Hi [Your Name],
Thanks for your interest in the [Position] role. Before we move forward, please complete a brief cognitive assessment via Wonderlic.
If you have questions, please reply directly to this email.
Best regards,
The Hiring Team
Employers use three different Wonderlic formats for hiring. Each is different. Make sure you're preparing for the right one, this is where most candidates go wrong.
The standard 50-question cognitive test. Multiple choice. Covers verbal, numerical, spatial, and logical reasoning. Usually taken in-person at an assessment center or employer office.
The 30-question short version. Taken remotely, from home. Typically used as a first filter, perform well and you're invited to take the full version or come in for an interview.
The comprehensive package: cognitive ability + personality + motivation, producing a composite score. Used by Fortune 500 and mid-market employers across hiring loops. Each section counts.

There's no universal passing score, your score is compared to other candidates applying for the same position. Higher is always better. These are the benchmarks by role.

After every practice test, you don't just see a score. You see the pattern behind your mistakes, and a precise roadmap for what to fix before test day.
Before you study a single thing, the AI maps your exact strengths and weaknesses down to question type. You know immediately where to focus your time.
Things like: consistently missing word problems in the final 2 minutes (a timing issue, not a math issue). Or getting spatial questions right on easy sets but wrong on hard ones. The AI sees the pattern. You fix the right thing.
Your predicted score moves in real time as you improve. When you consistently hit your target, you know, with data, that you're ready.
Find out where you stand, free, in 5 minutes. The AI diagnostic tells you your predicted score and exactly where to focus.
Start free diagnostic →The difference between a 20 and a 30 isn't intelligence, it's knowing the shortcuts. Here's one example from Michael Lerner's QuickPass™ method.
A factory floor is 175 ft × 60 ft. A storage room is 35 ft × 15 ft. What percentage of the factory is the storage room?
Full multiplication: 175 × 60 = 10,500. Then 35 × 15 = 525. Then 525 ÷ 10,500 = 0.05 = 5%. Three separate calculations. 40+ seconds. You've already fallen behind.
Compare the ratios directly:
15 ÷ 60 = ¼ 35 ÷ 175 = ⅕
¼ × ⅕ = 1/20 = 5%
Same answer. Three simple fractions. 15 seconds. This is one of 17 question-type strategies in the course.
Wonderlic Select, commonly called Wonscore, produces a composite score from three separate assessments. Employers see one number, but it reflects all three. You need to prepare for all three.
The standard 50-question test. Verbal, numerical, spatial, logical. No calculator, 12 minutes. This is what most of the course covers, and what most of your score comes from.
Covered in core QuickPass™ courseEvaluates traits like conscientiousness, agreeableness, and emotional stability. No right or wrong answers, but certain patterns are preferred for different roles. Knowing this changes how you respond.
Included in Wonscore CompleteMeasures how your work motivations align with the role. Employers use this to predict engagement and retention. Authenticity is important, but so is knowing what they're looking for.
Included in Wonscore CompleteMost prep covers the cognitive section and stops there. The Wonscore is three assessments. Personality and motivation responses are scored on consistency and role-fit profile, not on right answers. Wonscore Complete includes all three modules in one $77 SKU: the cognitive prep (50Q WPT format), the personality module (Big Five self-assessment, consistency-check tool, 12 role profiles), and the motivation module (forced-choice triad simulator with RIASEC-style scoring). 120-day access, 7-day refund.
"Got the Wonscore link on a Tuesday. Prepped Tuesday night and Wednesday. Passed Thursday. Got the offer Friday. I genuinely didn't think that was possible."

+11 points · hired"The real test was actually easier than the practice tests. I finished with time to spare and scored a 31. That never happened in practice."
Scored 31 · got the job"The personality section caught me completely off guard at my last job assessment. This time I knew exactly what the questions were measuring. Totally different experience."
Wonscore · prepared"I only had 3 days and my score doubled. I was skeptical but the AI told me exactly where my time would pay off. Highly recommend."
Score doubled · 3 days"I've never been a good test taker. The shortcuts showed me which questions were time traps to skip and come back to. I nearly finished the entire exam."

Every strategy in this course, the math shortcuts, the time management system, the AI coaching logic, was developed by Michael Lerner over 25 years of working with candidates who needed to perform on tests they hadn't seen before. He built this course because the resources that existed weren't honest about how hard the real test is, or what it actually takes to score competitively.
